OCBA
  • Thanks to everyone who attended our January meeting last week.  Highlights included:
    • The announcement that the membership voted to increase the amount of each annual scholarship to $2,500 for the 2020-21 Bar year; 
    • Referee Baker's introduction of her new law clerk, Jonathan Snyder; and
    • Referee Baker's informative presentation on HRO's and OFP's.

  • Our next Bar meeting is at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 11, via Zoom.  Agenda items include:
    • A discussion of LAOC's funding request for 2021 in the amount of $12,000; and
    • A presentation from Naquita Niles, Program Manager for Olmsted County's new Diversity, Equity, and Outreach Program.
  • We are seeking volunteers to serve on our Scholarship Committee for 2020-21.
    • Committee members review applications and assist in choosing scholarship recipients.
    • Time commitment is nominal.

This individual enjoys collaborating with others and concentrating in areas of law including family, criminal and civil law, and exploring other areas of interest. The right lawyer is interested in courtroom and ADR work and intends to remain in the SE MN region on a long-term basis. Experience or judicial clerkship, preferred.
